I have about 5 of these salvias in my yard. They are one of my favorite; I am going to try to find more of them to plant. They have a fairly unique color flower, kind of intermediate between red and purple. I find it one of the prettiest colors, and a contrast with my other salvias. Their growth habit seems good- they don't get too gangly. Some salvias I have found tend to grow several feet in length, and can start crowding out the plants next to them if you plant them 2 feet or so apart. One example of that is the UC Pink, which I got at Joy Creek Nursery. (I am going to try pruning the UCP's next March to around 6-12 inches long and see if I can control them that way.)
